Founded in Milan in 1921 by father Agostino Gemelli, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is the most important catholic atheneum of Europe and, thanks to a growing international openness, it is also the only Italian university with a national character with its five campuses: Milan, Piacenza, Cremona, Brescia and Rome, where there is also the Policlinico Universitario “A. Gemelli”.
Thanks to an almost centenarian tradition, a well known prestige and the quality of the personnel, the Università Cattolica offers to its students not only a solid cultural knowledge and the indispensable professional skills, but also a distinct educational offer.
Renown didactic and commitment on research and services are the strong points of an institution that has always been open to innovation and change.
Starting from these premises and this effort, the Università Cattolica has trained a significant part of the Italian ruling class. Among the thousands of graduates, there are many exponents of institutions, politic, law, managers, professors, bishops and writers.
